Coffee Lovers in the Shuk

Coffee is definitely a staple in most of our lives. Mornings just wouldn't be the same without that steaming cup O' Joe to wake us up and get our days started!

That's why it's so important for us to stay up to date with the best coffees around the country! And Jerusalem is the perfect place to start.

In the hustle and bustle of the Jerusalem shuk, also known as Machane Yehuda, there is always a lot going on! Fruit and vegetable venders shouting out their latest deals to passerby's, delicious smells of freshly baked bread all over, and of course- some of the greatest coffee!

There are so many hidden coffee gems nestled in the shuk, and we can't wait to share some of our favorites with you!

  1. Roasters Coffee

In the heart of the Mahane Yehuda Shuk, you will find an amazing little coffee shop that sells on-the-spot roasted coffee blends, and of course, serves some amazing brewed coffee.

At night time, this humble little coffee shop turns into a bar, fitting in perfectly with the wild Shuk nightlife.

2. Shuk Cafe - שוק קפה

If you are looking for some of the best ground coffee for your morning macchiato or French press coffee, look no further! Shuk Cafe grounds fresh coffee each day, and has unique blends from all over the world. Just walking into the store is a coffee wonderland you won't be able to resist! We guarantee you won't be disappointed.

3. Powerworks Coffee

It may not be right in the heart of the shuk, but just outside of the open air market, one of the most authentic coffee shops sits, waiting for your visit. Run by a new oleh from South Africa, Powerworks has some of the best drinks and pastries. Not only do they have cold brew, but every type of delicious drink- hot or cold. Chai lattes, iced teas, and mochas, each sip is a little bit of heaven. And enjoy it with a homemade doughnut or pastry!
