Hitnadvut - הִתְנַדְּבוּת
Pronunciation: Hit·nad·vut
Literal translation: Volunteering
Hitnadvut is an integral part of the Israeli culture, be it in the army, day-to-day life, part of university scholarships, or even in school.
In fact, every kid in Israel must complete a certain amount of hitnadvut hours in school, in order to receive a matriculation certificate (Teudat Bagrut). There are so many options from visiting the elderly to helping Olim in Israel learn Hebrew!
