Israel is home to many delicious dishes and foods, found all across the country, throughout the countless different cuisines this country has to offer.

One of the great foods you can find in Israel are our very own native snacks.


Here are our top 5 Israeli snacks:


Bamba


Unless you live on the moon, you know about Bamba. And you probably love Bamba. This peanut butter flavoured corn snack is the most popular in Israel by far, and is widely distributed all over the world, especially around the Jewish communities. According to a British Medical research, peanut allergies amongst babies in Israel is lower than in the rest of the world, due to the early exposure to Bamba.


Bisli

Bisli is another one of the most popular snacks in Israel, and it’s international popularity is growing as well. This salty snack comes in several flavours, mainly Grill, BBQ, Falafel, Onion, and Pizza. There is also a Bisli snack called Ah Shel Bisli (Bisli’s brother), made from corn for all you Gluten-sensitive folks out there.


Klik


The Klik chocolate began as a chocolate covered cereal, but has now become one of the most popular Israeli chocolate snacks. It comes in 4 different ways: Individual little bags, long chocolate bars, XL chocolate bar, chocolate spread.


Tapuchips


Everyone loves potato chips, including Israelis. In this estimated annual 250 millions dollar Israeli market, the leading and most popular brand is Elite’s Tapuchips, which owns around 62% of the market.


Pitzuhium

If you’ve ever been to a Shabbat meal, party, wedding, gathering, get together, park bench in Israel, You’ve seen or heard people cracking salty Pitzuhium with their teeth. This is one of the most popular snacks on Israelis, there is something so addictive in cracking these tiny shelled seeds for some reason. We’re not sure why, but we love it.
